Symeon Brown

Symeon Brown is a correspondent on Channel 4 News and the author of Get Rich or Lie Trying: Ambition & Deceit in the New Influencer Economy. He has worked for the Guardian and the Black Cultural Archives. Symeon’s journalism has won a Medical Journalists’ Association Award and a Criminal Justice Alliance Outstanding Journalism Award and been shortlisted for the Orwell Prize and a British Journalism Award; he was nominated for a BAFTA as executive editor of Channel 4 News’ Black to Front special. Symeon was also seconded to Channel 4 as a commissioning executive in current affairs and specialist factual between 2022-2023, where he was part of the team that launched the new youth documentary strand Untold. He graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies, lives in London and supports Arsenal.
